Yato cordless compressor 11 bar, body only (YT-23248) is an 18 V cordless compressor for inflating tyres, balls, mattresses and other inflatable items. The maximum pressure is 11 bar (160 PSI, 1.1 MPa) and the inflation capacity 12 l/min. The compressor runs on a Yato 18 V Li-Ion battery or from a vehicle’s 12 V socket; the body-only model is supplied without a battery or charger.
The compressor has two operating modes. In high-pressure mode, the fixed high-pressure hose is used to inflate tyres and balls, and the pressure set on the LCD display stops inflation automatically. In high-volume mode, a separate thick hose is used to inflate items that need a large volume of air, such as mattresses, inflatable boats and pool toys, and the same hose can also be used to deflate them.
The pressure is shown in PSI, bar or kPa, and the target pressure is set with the “+” and “-” buttons. The inflation tips are stored in the accessory compartment in the housing, there is an LED lighton the side of the housing, and the 12 V power cord is stored in the base of the housing. The rated power is 60 W.

Uses and suitability:
The Yato cordless compressor 11 bar, body only, is designed for inflating and deflating on the move and on sites without a compressed air network.
- Vehicle tyres: Checking and inflating car and trailer tyre pressure; according to the manufacturer, inflating a car tyre takes about 3–4 minutes depending on the size. Power from either the battery or the car’s 12 V socket.
- Machine and wheelbarrow tyres: Topping up the tyres of site wheelbarrows and machines; according to the manufacturer, the rear tyre of an excavator or tractor (26″ rim, 2.5 bar) inflates in about 15 minutes.
- Bicycles, prams and balls: The narrow tip for bicycle valves and the needle for balls.
- Mattresses and leisure equipment: Inflating and deflating air mattresses, inflatable boats and pool toys in high-volume mode.

User instructions for the Yato cordless compressor 11 bar, body only:
Preparation: Check that the start switch is in the middle position O. In high-pressure mode, unwind the fixed hose from the back of the housing, place the required tip on the valve with the lever up and lock it by lowering the lever. In high-volume mode, connect the thick hose to the port at the back of the housing and turn it to lock.
Power source: Slide a Yato 18 V battery into the battery slot until it clicks. For vehicle use, turn the power source selector to the light symbol, unwind the 12 V cord completely and plug it into the car socket.
Inflation: Select the pressure unit with the PSI/BAR/kPa button and set the target pressure with the “+” and “-” buttons; the value flashes after about 3 seconds. Switch to position I (high pressure) or II (high volume). In high-pressure mode, the compressor stops at the set pressure; in high-volume mode, you monitor the inflation yourself.
Deflation: Connect the high-volume hose to the air intake and to the item to be deflated, and switch the compressor to position II.
Maintenance and storage: Switch off the compressor and remove the battery or the 12 V plug. Clean the housing with a damp cloth or compressed air (max. 0.3 MPa) without solvents. Store in a closed, ventilated place protected from sun and rain.
Warnings:
- Do not exceed the maximum permitted pressure of the item being inflated; an over-inflated tyre or item can burst and cause serious injury. Check the reading of the built-in pressure gauge from time to time against a calibrated gauge.
- Never point the airflow at yourself, other people or animals.
- Housing parts get hot during use: carry the unit only by the handle and when switched off.
- Do not adjust or modify the safety valve.
- Do not bend or twist the hose, and do not carry the unit by the hose.
- Do not use the unit as a ventilator, for spraying or as a vacuum pump.
- Do not use the unit in explosive, very damp or dusty environments or near water splashes (IPX0). Keep the ventilation openings clear.
- The unit is not intended for use by children. Wear safety glasses and hearing protection.
