Description
Yato cordless grease gun 18V 3Ah (YT-07020) is a cordless grease gun that feeds solid lubricating grease into grease nipples at a pressure of 62 MPa (620 bar). The maximum output is 284 g/min. The delivery includes a 3 Ah Li-Ion battery and charger, so the tool is ready to use without buying a battery separately.
The grease reservoir holds 600 g of grease. The reservoir is filled with bulk grease by pulling the plunger out while the reservoir is immersed in the grease container. A 600 g grease cartridge also fits the reservoir. The grease flows through a 76 cm flexible high-pressure hose to the nozzle, whose coupler fits standard grease nipples.
The output is adjusted with the output regulator on the body: a higher number gives a higher output. The operating switch has a lock to prevent accidental starting. The body has an LED work light that lights up the lubrication point. A safety valve lets grease out if the hose becomes blocked.
The tool runs on the Yato 18V battery system. The included battery has a charge level indicator. The charger output voltage is 21 V DC and output current 2.4 A. The charging time of the included battery is about 1 hour.
The grease gun stands upright on its own base. The hose holder keeps the hose and nozzle in place during transport and storage. The tool meets the requirements of standard EN 62841-1. The version sold without battery and charger is the Yato cordless grease gun 18V 620 bar body only (YT-07021).
Uses and suitability:
The tool is intended for lubricating machines and equipment fitted with grease nipples. It uses only solid lubricating greases. The body-only version of the same tool is the Yato cordless grease gun 18V 620 bar body only. A manual alternative is the Vorel grease gun 500 ml. A suitable extra battery is the Yato 18V Li-Ion battery.

User instructions for the Yato cordless grease gun 18V 3Ah:
- Charge the battery: Clean the battery and its terminals with a dry cloth. Slide the battery into the charger and plug the charger into a socket. The red indicator light is on during charging; the green light shows a full battery. Unplug the charger after charging.
- Prepare the reservoir: Remove the battery from the tool. Clean any residue of previous grease out of the reservoir, as different greases can react with each other.
- Fill the reservoir: Unscrew the reservoir and push the plunger all the way in. Immerse the open end of the reservoir about 5 cm below the grease surface and slowly pull the plunger out. Lock the plunger, wipe the outside of the reservoir and screw it back onto the tool. Release the plunger lock and push the plunger all the way in to remove air.
- Fit the battery: Slide the charged battery into the battery connector until the latch locks.
- Remove air: Point the nozzle at a safe spot, unlock the switch and press the switch until grease comes out in an even stream.
- Adjust the output: Turn the output regulator. A higher number gives a higher output.
- Lubricate: Press the nozzle onto the grease nipple and hold it in place. Keep the switch pressed during lubrication. Release the switch and lock it before removing the nozzle from the nipple.
- If grease comes out of the safety valve: The hose is blocked. Stop lubricating immediately, remove the battery and clear the blockage.
- Maintain: Remove the battery and wipe excess grease off the nozzle and body with a dry cloth. Protect the nozzle with its cover and attach the hose to the holder. Clean the ventilation openings with a soft brush or compressed air at max. 0.3 MPa.
- Store: Upright on its base without the battery. Store the battery at 0–30 °C charged to about 70%. During long storage, charge the battery once a year.
Warnings:
- High pressure: Grease is discharged at a pressure of 620 bar. Do not point the nozzle at yourself, other people or animals.
- Hose condition: Replace a twisted, kinked or damaged hose immediately. Use only hoses approved by the manufacturer.
- Solid grease only: Do not use silicones, sealants, adhesives or other substances that harden in air.
- Moving parts: Stop the machine being lubricated for the duration of lubrication.
- Fire hazard: Grease can be flammable. Do not expose it to heat or fire.
- Protective equipment: Protective gloves, safety glasses and long-sleeved clothing, ear defenders when needed.
- Battery off: Remove the battery before filling the reservoir, cleaning the safety valve and maintenance.
- Charging: Use only the supplied charger, in a dry indoor space under supervision. Do not use a damaged charger or battery.
- Moisture: The IP rating of the tool is IPX0, so it is not used in rain.
