Yato telescopic pole 70-110 cm (YT-828337) is an extension pole for Yato 18 V cordless grass and hedge shears YT-828335, YT-828336, YT-828357 and YT-828358. The pole length is adjusted between 700–1100 mm, so lawn edges can be cut standing up without bending down.
The pole is made of aluminium. At the top there is a handle with its own power switch and switch lock. At the bottom there is a mounting base for the shears and two wheelson which the shears run over the lawn surface. The pole connector plugs into the shears’ socket, so the shears are operated with the switch on the handle.
The length is locked by turning the height adjustment ring between the open and closed lock symbols. The shears attach to the base with two side hooks and a front hook. The pole is used with the shears’ grass blade; the blade and battery are fitted to the shears before they are attached to the pole.

Before attaching: fit the grass blade and battery to the shears according to the shears’ user manual. The blade or battery cannot be changed while the shears are attached to the pole. Keep your hands away from the blades and do not touch the switch during attachment.
Attaching: place the bottom of the shears against the pole’s mounting base and push the shears horizontally into the base until the left and right side hooks and the front hook lock into the recesses in the shears. Then push the pole plug into the shears’ socket.
Adjusting the length: turn the height adjustment ring towards the open lock symbol, adjust the length to the user’s height and turn the ring towards the closed lock symbol. Make sure the length does not change by itself during work.
Use: push the handle switch lock with your thumb and press the switch with your index finger. The lock can be released while the switch is held down. The shears stop when the switch is released; the blade may keep moving for a moment. Guide the shears on their wheels so that the blade does not hit the ground, stones or woody plant parts. Cut grass taller than 15–20 cm in two stages.
Storage: remove the shears from the pole and the battery from the shears, clean the pole and wheels and store the pole in a dry, enclosed space out of the reach of children.
