Based in northern Italy, Ideal Gas started out as a small family company making components for the gas industry. Over the years it has grown into an international business that exports its products all over the world. The secret of the company's success is complete control of the production chain: all critical components are designed and made in-house.
When working with gas appliances, safety is the top priority. Ideal Gas tests every pressure regulator and torch it makes to ensure that they meet even the strictest EU standards. The brand's products are known especially for their ergonomics: they are designed to sit well in the hand even during long jobs, whether soldering copper pipes or installing a bitumen roof.
Compact, powerful torches for soft soldering, brazing and paint removal.
Heavy-duty "roofing torches" and burners for heating large areas, bitumen work and weed control.
Certified components for the safe control and transfer of gas.
Only if the appliance has a preheating system. When an ordinary torch is tilted, liquid gas can reach the nozzle, causing an uncontrolled flare-up (flare-up). Check the model-specific instructions.
Propane works better in cold weather and produces a higher pressure. Butane is effective in warm conditions but loses pressure in freezing temperatures. Ideal Gas cartridges often use a blend to guarantee the best performance.
Yes. Cartridges with a threaded valve (EN417) are very safe, as they close automatically when the torch is detached. Pierceable cartridges must not be detached until they are empty.
It is based on a piezoelectric crystal which, when struck, produces a high-voltage spark. It is a mechanical, long-lasting ignition method that needs no batteries or external flame.
