Cordless leaf blowers are battery-powered blowers for moving leaves, clippings and debris off lawns, garden paths, patios and car parks. The group includes 18V leaf blowers, a 2x18V leaf blower and 2x18V blower vacuums, which suck up and shred the leaves into a collection bag. The blowers are used in home gardens, in property maintenance and in landscaping work. All machines use the Yato 18V battery.

Selection criteria

  • Air speed: the airflow of an 18V blower is about 100–126 km/h, which is enough for moving dry leaves and debris. On the 2x18V blower, the turbo function raises the speed to about 200 km/h. Wet and heavy leaves need a stronger airflow.
  • Blower or blower vacuum: a blower gathers the leaves into a pile. A blower vacuum also sucks up the leaves, shreds them and collects them in a 45 l bag.
  • Batteries: the 18V blowers run on one battery, the 2x18V machines on two. A blower uses a lot of power, so a 4 Ah or larger battery is recommended.
  • Body only or set: a body-only model is supplied without a battery and charger. The 18V leaf blower is also available as a set that includes a 4 Ah battery.

Frequently asked questions about cordless leaf blowers

What is the difference between a leaf blower and a blower vacuum?
A leaf blower moves the leaves into a pile with an airflow. A blower vacuum also works as a vacuum: it sucks up the leaves, shreds them and collects them in a bag, so more fits in the bag.

What does 2x18V mean on a leaf blower?
The machine uses two 18V batteries at the same time, giving a voltage of 36 V. This gives the blower a stronger airflow.
