Refuse sacks and bin bags are polyethylene film bags for collecting and carrying mixed, property and household waste. The bags come on a roll; their volume is given in litres and the film thickness in microns (my). The bags are used in offices, properties, on construction sites, in industry and in households.

Selection criteria

  • Volume: the bag volume must match the size of the waste bin, for example 60 L.
  • Film: LDPE is flexible and resists tearing and sharp-edged waste, HDPE is stiff and light even as a thinner film.
  • Thickness: a thicker film withstands heavier and sharper waste.
  • Closing: a drawstring bag is closed and carried by the drawstring.

Frequently asked questions about refuse sacks
