Founded in 1927, Urko has grown from a small workshop into a global business that is still run on family-company values. The company makes all its critical components itself at its own factory in Spain, which guarantees complete quality control. Urko was one of the first manufacturers to use spheroidal graphite cast iron (nodular cast iron) in its clamps, which made them practically unbreakable compared with traditional grey cast iron.
The brand's red-and-black tools are a familiar sight on European work sites. Urko invests continuously in product development: its patented non-slip braking systems and ergonomic handles are designed to withstand heavy torque and the strain of professional use day after day.

Why choose Urko?
Made in SpainUnlike many competitors, Urko still makes its products in Europe, which guarantees consistent alloy quality and a precise finish.
Nodular cast ironUrko's jaws are made of tough spheroidal graphite cast iron. Unlike cheaper grey cast iron, it does not fracture suddenly under pressure; instead it flexes slightly when needed.
Braking systemThe serrated bars and the jaw locking mechanism stop the clamp from "backing off" or loosening under vibration.
Wide rangeWhether you are gluing a small scale model or welding a heavy steel beam, Urko has a clamp of exactly the right size and strength.
Frequently asked questions
Why choose a piston clamp?
In piston clamps (such as the Urko 4003 series), the thread is protected from impacts and welding spatter. Their double thread also allows faster tightening and greater force with fewer turns.
Are Urko clamps suitable for welding?
Yes. All-steel models and those with a protected thread in particular are excellent for welding work, because earthing is reliable and spatter does not damage the mechanism.
What does nodular cast iron mean?
It is cast iron with added magnesium that makes the graphite form spheres. This makes the material much more durable and tougher than traditional brittle cast iron, preventing the jaw from breaking when tightened.
Do the clamps have a warranty?
Urko gives its tools a warranty against material and manufacturing defects. Used correctly, an Urko clamp is an almost everlasting tool.
Who imports Urko clamps into Finland?
Toolcat Oy is the importer and distributor of Urko products in Finland. We stock Urko screw clamps, piston clamps and quick-release clamping devices in Vantaa and deliver to resellers, online retailers and professional users throughout Finland, the Nordic countries and the Baltics.
Can Urko products be bought wholesale for resale?
Yes. We sell only to businesses. A clamp is a one-off purchase that lasts for decades: it sells on its durability and cast-iron body rather than its price, which makes it a good product at a higher price point. Open a business customer account to see your contract prices in the webshop and order on invoice.
How quickly are Urko orders delivered?
Stock items are typically delivered within 48 hours anywhere in Finland. Normal delivery time is 1–5 working days, depending on the shipping method and destination. We also deliver to the other Nordic countries and the Baltics, with delivery time and costs agreed per order. Products can also be collected from our Vantaa warehouse by arrangement.
