More than 100 years in pursuit of perfection

Tajima started out in 1909 making steel rules and scales. The company's philosophy is based on traditional Japanese craftsmanship combined with modern industrial design. Unlike many others, Tajima controls its entire production chain itself, which guarantees exceptional quality control.

Construction professionals around the world trust Tajima because the tools work and also feel right in the hand. Tajima products, such as its high-precision pull saws and Chalk-Rite chalk lines, are developed to solve real problems on site: they are ergonomic, durable and extremely accurate.

Frequently asked questions

How do Razar Black blades differ from ordinary blades?

Razar Black blades are Tajima's premium blades, sharpened at a steeper angle. They are considerably sharper and cut more precisely, which makes them excellent for cutting plasterboard and wallpaper, for example.

What is a Japan Pull saw?

Western saws cut on the push stroke, Japanese saws on the pull stroke. A pull saw blade can be thinner because it does not bend when pulled. This gives a cleaner cut and makes the work lighter.

Do Tajima tape measures survive being dropped?

Yes. Most Tajima professional tape measures (such as G-Lock) have a thick elastomer shell (Armored Case) that protects the tape and its mechanism from impacts on site.

How does Chalk-Rite differ from an ordinary chalk line?

Chalk-Rite tools often have a better-sealed case and a faster rewind mechanism (up to 5x faster). The braided line also absorbs chalk better, producing a sharper line.

Who imports Tajima tools into Finland?

Toolcat Oy is the importer and distributor of Tajima products in Finland. We stock Tajima tape measures, snap-off knives and pull saws in Vantaa and deliver to resellers, online retailers and professional users throughout Finland, the Nordic countries and the Baltics.

Can Tajima products be bought wholesale for resale?

Yes. We sell only to businesses. Tajima is a premium brand professionals recognise, which raises the average price on the shelf, and Razar Black replacement blades are a repeat-purchase product. Open a business customer account to see your contract prices in the webshop and order on invoice.

How quickly are Tajima orders delivered?

We also deliver to the other Nordic countries and the Baltics, with delivery time and costs agreed per order. Products can also be collected from our Vantaa warehouse by arrangement.
