More than half a century of tool development

Founded in 1970, BGS Technic KG has grown from a small local business into one of Europe's leading tool wholesalers. The company's head office is in Wermelskirchen, Germany, from where it serves customers in more than 80 countries. The secret of BGS's success is continuous product development: hundreds of new innovations are added to the range every year.

Professionals particularly value BGS's "PRO+" range, which is designed to withstand heavy torque and wear. Whether it is an engine timing tool, an air impact wrench or a comprehensive socket set, BGS offers industrial-level performance with excellent value for money. The company also invests heavily in logistics, which guarantees fast availability of spare parts and tools.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the BGS PRO+ and Kraftmann ranges?

BGS PRO+ is designed for daily, demanding professional use in workshops (Cr-V steel, high-quality finish). Kraftmann is BGS's "Do-it-Yourself" line, which offers good basic quality for hobbyists at a lower price.

Are the tools suitable for impact use?

Ordinary bright (chrome-plated) sockets are intended for hand use. With impact guns, always use black, phosphated impact sockets (Impact Sockets), which are made of more flexible Cr-Mo (chrome molybdenum) steel to prevent breakage.

Are BGS tools DIN-standardised?

Yes. BGS torque wrenches, for example, come with a calibration certificate, and open-end spanners and sockets follow DIN standards for durability and dimensional accuracy.

Where can I find a special tool for my car model?

The BGS range is very wide and is classified by OEM part numbers. Toolcat can help you find the right timing tool or puller based on your car's engine code.
