Frequently asked questions

Does a shredder need oiling?

Yes. All cross-cut shredders should be oiled regularly (e.g. with Rexel oil sheets) to maintain performance and extend the life of the blades.

What does AutoFeed mean?

AutoFeed means automatic feeding. The machine has a tray in which you can place a stack of paper (staples and clips included), and the machine shreds the sheets automatically one at a time.

Does the machine also shred staples?

Most Rexel shredders shred standard-size staples and paper clips without problems, so you do not need to remove them before shredding.

Which security level (P rating) is sufficient?

For normal office use and confidential information, at least P-4 (cross-cut) is recommended. P-5 (micro-cut) is recommended for highly secret documents.
